A serene stack of smooth rocks balances delicately by the ocean at sunset, framed by a dramatic sky and waves splashing below.

I am learning that balance is not stillness.

It is not silence without weight. T

is not the absence of pain.

Balance is the pause

between tightening and letting go,

the moment my breath remembers

it does not have to run.

Some days, balance is choosing

what I will not carry.

Other days, it is setting something down

without explaining why.

I am learning that balance

does not mean forgiving

what broke me,

or pretending I am untouched.

It means standing where I am

with both feet on the ground,

one hand open,

one hand protecting.

Balance is listening

when my body speaks first.

It is trusting the no before the yes is ready.

It is knowing

that I can lean away

and still remain whole.

Today, balance looks like this:

I stay.

I breathe.

I choose what stays with me.

And that is enough.
