Trust in the Journey
The path unwinds,
a ribbon of grey,
then ochre,
then a splash of vibrant green.
Don't look too far ahead,
the horizon blurs,
a watercolor wash of uncertainty.
Trust the ground beneath your feet,
even when it’s uneven,
rocky,
a path less traveled,
marked only by the faintest of footprints,
yours,
and maybe, just maybe,
a few others long since gone.
Let the sun warm your face,
even when clouds gather,
even when rain lashes down,
a cleansing torrent,
washing away doubt.
Listen to the whispers of the wind,
a symphony of change,
a lullaby of acceptance.
The journey isn't about reaching the destination,
though that's a pleasant thought,
a distant glimmer,
a beacon in the mist.
The journey is the unfolding,
the constant becoming,
the shedding of skin,
the embracing of new landscapes,
both inner and outer.
There will be moments of breathtaking beauty,
sunrises that paint the sky in fiery hues,
moments that steal your breath,
leaving you speechless,
in awe of the simple wonder.
There will be challenges,
steep inclines,
rocky ascents,
moments where you stumble,
where you fall,
where you want to give up,
to turn back,
to seek the comfort of the familiar.
But trust the journey.
Trust the process.
Trust yourself.
For within you lies the strength,
the resilience,
the unwavering spirit
to navigate the winding path,
to overcome obstacles,
to find your way,
even when lost,
even when unsure,
even when afraid.
The journey is a gift,
a precious unfolding,
a tapestry woven with threads of experience,
of joy and sorrow,
of triumph and defeat.
Embrace the unexpected turns,
the surprising detours,
the unplanned encounters.
For in these moments,
you will discover yourself,
your strength,
your capacity for love,
for resilience,
for growth.
And when you finally reach that distant glimmer,
that place you’ve long imagined,
you will know,
deep within your soul,
that the journey was the reward,
the true destination.
The becoming, not the being.
The unfolding, not the end.
Trust the journey.
Always.
