Focus on Compassion

In a world full of chaos and strife,

There's a virtue that can change our life.

Compassion, a gift so pure and true,

Can bring light to the darkest of blue.

It starts with a simple act of kindness,

A gesture that can bring us blindness.

To the pain and suffering of others,

To their struggles and their brothers.

 Compassion is a guiding light,

A beacon in the darkest night.

It's the hand that reaches out to help,

The heart that feels another's yelp.

Have you ever stopped to think,

About the power of compassion's brink?

It has the ability to heal and mend,

To turn enemies into a friend.

Compassion is not just a feeling,

It's a way of life, a way of dealing.

With the challenges that we all face,

With the trials that we cannot erase.

 It requires empathy and understanding,

A willingness to lend a hand in demanding.

Times when others are in need,

To truly listen and take heed.

 Compassion is not always easy,

It can be difficult and make us queasy.

But it's essential to our humanity,

To connect with others in unity.

So let us strive to be more kind,

To open our hearts and minds.

To the struggles and the pain,

Of those around us in the rain.

For in the end, compassion is key,

To a world where all can be free.

Where love and kindness reign supreme,

And we all live in harmony's dream.
