Despite growing awareness and advocacy from various organizations and individuals dedicated to this cause, survivors of MST continue to face significant challenges, including neglect, disbelief, and even retaliation from their peers and superiors. The stigma surrounding MST often leads to an environment where victims feel isolated and unsupported, further compounding their trauma.

The Epstein scandal exposed a horrifying network of abuse and exploitation involving powerful individuals. Yet, despite overwhelming evidence and public outrage, the US Government has shown a disturbing lack of action toward holding those implicated accountable. This silence and inaction send a clear message: survivors of rape are not a priority.

Sexual assault survivors in the military, on university campuses, and during their childhood face a harsh and often unforgiving reality: the very systems that are designed to protect them frequently fail to provide the necessary support and justice. This deeply troubling phenomenon has been documented extensively, revealing a pattern of neglect and institutional inadequacy that leaves survivors feeling abandoned and voiceless

These brave individuals, who have dedicated their lives to serving and protecting their country, are often met with a system that not only overlooks their suffering but actively perpetuates injustice through victim blaming, retaliation, and emotional abuse.

Self-harm, often misunderstood, is not merely an act of destruction but rather a complex form of expression that can serve various psychological functions for the individual. For many survivors, the physical pain inflicted through self-harm can sometimes feel more manageable than the emotional pain they are grappling with.

It is imperative that survivors of military sexual assault receive not only our sympathy but also concrete actions from those in power. For far too long, politicians and government officials have turned a blind eye to the needs and experiences of these brave individuals. Their frustrations resonate deeply, and the need for action is urgent.
