A Ocean Wave
A Ocean Wave

Waves of Fear

Beyond the storm, fear curls along the coast,

A shadowed wave, creeping slowly,

Its form invisible, slippery like sand,

Yet unmistakable when it kisses my feet—

Cold and unwelcome,

An icy grasp around the heart,

Stirring doubts like pebbles turning in the surf,

Each whisper, "What if? " a freeze-frame of despair.

In its wake, fear pulls me backward,

Each wave a reminder of the unknown,

Yet what lies beneath the surface?

A vast ocean of possibilities waiting,

Fear, like the tide, can both drown and cleanse,

Washing away the illusions that shelter me,

And while it limits the horizon,

Within its grasp, there lies a flicker,

A call to rise above the water,

To float toward the sunlit dreams,

For even fear can lead,

Beneath its deep, tumultuous currents,

To the shores of courage.

Courage, a beacon, shines through the fog,

Illuminating the path forward,

Emboldened by trials of waves once feared,

And as the tide pulls back, exposing the sea’s floor,

I find treasure buried in the sands—
